Clinical Services
Virtual outpatient psychotherapy for children, adolescents, young adults and their families in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Florida.
Therapy is a supportive space designed to meet you exactly where you are and guide you in creating a personalized plan for strengthening both your physical and emotional well-being. Beginning the process can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone—you’re in the right place to take the first step.
Diagnostic Assessment:
During our initial appointment, Hallie will conduct a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to gain a clear understanding of your current concerns, personal goals, and the areas you wish to explore or improve. This assessment helps guide the therapeutic process by identifying your unique needs and strengths. Based on our discussion, Hallie will offer tailored recommendations and collaborate with you to develop a plan that supports your goals and promotes meaningful progress.
Individual Therapy:
Individual therapy with Hallie is a collaborative, supportive space where you can explore what’s going on in your life—emotionally, mentally, and relationally—without fear of judgment. Hallie takes a personalized, whole-person approach, tailoring each session to your unique needs, goals, and strengths.
Whether you're navigating an eating disorder, anxiety, mood challenges, stress, life transitions, or health-related concerns, Hallie works with you to build insight, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. Sessions may include evidence-based practices like CBT, FBT, ACT, or mindfulness, and if you desire, faith-based integration is available.
You don’t have to have everything figured out—therapy is a space to be real, ask questions, and grow at your own pace. Hallie is here to meet you where you are and support you as you move toward a more grounded, functional, and fulfilling life.
Therapy Intensives:
Hallie offers extended therapy intensives for pediatric patients and their families following a new diagnosis such as Functional Neurologic Disorder (Conversion Disorder), Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures, chronic pain, EDS, POTS, somatic symptom disorder, and related conditions.
Unlike ongoing weekly therapy, intensives are a short-term, focused intervention designed to equip patients and families with practical information, resources, and support in a condensed and impactful format.
Workshops for Performing Artists and Athletes:
Interactive workshops for performing artists and athletes that build mental health, nutrition, and performance skills. Led by a licensed psychotherapist and former professional dancer, these sessions help participants manage pressure, strengthen resilience, prevent burnout, and enhance confidence. Available in-person across the Twin Cities or virtually, and tailored to your group’s needs.
Eating Disorder Support Group for Those in Recovery:
Hallie co-leads an eating disorder support group through Charis Eating Disorder Care. Our virtual Support Group for Those in Recovery provides a community and hope you will find a place of acceptance, accountability, encouragement, and inspiration each week as we discuss common challenges in eating disorder recovery.

Therapy and Treatment for Eating Disorders:
Eating disorders often emerge during some of the most formative and demanding stages of life—childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. During these years, individuals are navigating identity development, academic and social pressures, changing bodies, and increasing expectations for independence. Disordered eating behaviors—such as restricting, bingeing, purging, compulsive exercise, or persistent preoccupation with food, body, and weight—are rarely just about eating. Instead, they often reflect deeper emotional and psychological struggles, including anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, trauma, difficulty regulating emotions, or a desire for control during overwhelming transitions.
Hallie provides specialized, evidence-based treatment for a wide range of eating disorders and disordered eating concerns, including:
Anorexia Nervosa
Bulimia Nervosa
Binge Eating Disorder
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED)
Feeding or eating challenges related to anxiety, trauma, or medical conditions
Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S)
At Ezer Psychotherapy, PLLC, Hallie works with children, adolescents, young adults, and families to address both eating disorder behaviors and the underlying factors that sustain them. Treatment goes beyond symptom reduction, focusing instead on fostering insight, emotional resilience, and lasting change. Therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate—meeting each client where they are while gently and thoughtfully challenging the eating disorder’s influence. Clients are supported in a non-judgmental space where they can feel seen, heard, and safe as they explore their relationship with food, body, and self.

Therapy for Anxiety:
Anxiety is a natural response to stress—but when it becomes overwhelming, persistent, or interferes with daily life, it may be part of an anxiety disorder. These disorders can show up in different ways, including constant worry, panic attacks, social fears, or specific phobias. While anxiety can feel isolating or even paralyzing, it is also highly treatable.
At Ezer Psychotherapy, we specialize in evidence-based treatments that help individuals manage and reduce anxiety. Through approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies, we work collaboratively with clients to understand the roots of their anxiety, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build practical coping skills.
Whether you’re experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, or a specific phobia, therapy offers a safe and supportive space to regain control and confidence in your life. You don’t have to live at the mercy of anxiety—help is available, and healing is possible.

Therapy for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
OCD can leave children, teens, and young adults feeling trapped in a cycle of intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and repetitive behaviors or mental rituals. These symptoms can interfere with school, relationships, daily routines, and family life.
At Ezer Psychotherapy, treatment is tailored to each client’s age, symptoms, and goals. Evidence-based approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), help clients gradually face feared situations while reducing compulsive responses. Treatment also includes education and family support so parents and caregivers can respond in ways that promote confidence, independence, and long-term recovery.

Therapy for Functional Neurologic Disorder (Conversion Disorder):
Functional Neurologic Disorder (FND), also known as Conversion Disorder, is a condition where individuals experience real neurological symptoms—such as weakness, tremors, non-epileptic seizures, or difficulties with movement or speech—without a structural brain disease explaining them. These symptoms are very real, often distressing, and can significantly affect quality of life.
FND is best understood as a disorder of nervous system functioning rather than structure—where the brain has trouble sending and receiving signals properly. While the causes are complex and can involve psychological, neurological, and physical factors, the good news is that FND is treatable.
At Ezer Psychotherapy, Hallie specializes in the treatment of Functional Neurologic Disorder. Treatment may include psychoeducation about the brain-body connection, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mind-body techniques, and support for managing any related conditions like anxiety, trauma, or depression.
Our goal is to help you better understand your symptoms, reduce their impact, and restore a greater sense of control and function in your daily life. Recovery is possible—and we’re here to help you take the next step.

Therapy for Performing Artists & Athletes:
As both a licensed psychotherapist and a professional dancer in the Twin Cities, Hallie brings a unique perspective to working with dancers, performing artists, and athletes. Hallie understands the discipline, passion, and vulnerability it takes to perform, as well as the challenges that can come with it—perfectionism, pressure to succeed, injury, body image concerns, and balancing mental health with training and performance demands.
At Ezer Psychotherapy, Hallie specializes in helping young people who are navigating things like:
Performance anxiety or stage fright
Self-esteem and perfectionism
Eating disorders and body image struggles
Burnout and stress management
Coping with injury or acute/chronic illness
Trauma, anxiety, or depression
Hallie’s goal is to create a safe, supportive space where performers and athletes can process challenges, build resilience, and strengthen both their mental health and their ability to thrive in their art or sport.
In addition to individual therapy, Hallie also offers workshops for studios, teams, and organizations to promote mental wellness, prevent burnout, and encourage healthy coping strategies. These workshops can be customized to meet the needs of your dancers, athletes, or performers.

When a child or teen begins therapy, it’s not just their journey—it's a family one. Hallie believes that parents and caregivers play a vital role in the healing process, and she partners with you to provide guidance, insight, and support along the way.
Through regular check-ins, parent consultations, and collaborative goal-setting, Hallie helps you better understand your child’s emotional needs and behaviors, strengthen communication at home, and develop effective tools to support your child outside of therapy. You don’t have to do this alone. Hallie is here to support both your child and you—every step of the way.
What to Expect When Starting Therapy at Ezer Psychotherapy
Seeking therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you are looking for support for an eating disorder, anxiety, Functional Neurologic Disorder (FND), a chronic medical condition, or another concern, our goal is to make the process as clear, supportive, and stress-free as possible.
At Ezer Psychotherapy, we believe that treatment works best when clients and families understand what to expect and feel empowered throughout the process. Here's what getting started looks like.
Step 1: Reach Out
The first step is contacting Ezer Psychotherapy to discuss your needs and schedule an appointment.
You may choose to:
Schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to learn more about services and determine whether Ezer Psychotherapy is a good fit.
Schedule an initial diagnostic assessment to begin the therapy process.
During this stage, you can ask questions about treatment approaches, scheduling, insurance, and what services may be most appropriate for your needs.
Step 4: Develop a Personalized Treatment Plan
Following the assessment, we will review recommendations and create a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Treatment plans are individualized and may include:
Individual psychotherapy
Parent coaching
Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders
Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
Coordination with medical providers or other members of your treatment team
We will work collaboratively to determine the most appropriate approach based on your specific concerns and circumstances.
Step 2: Complete Intake Paperwork and Insurance Verification
Before your first appointment, you will complete intake paperwork through our secure client portal.
This paperwork helps us learn more about you, your concerns, and your goals for treatment. Clients who wish to use health insurance may also have their benefits verified before the first appointment so they have a better understanding of coverage and potential out-of-pocket costs.
Step 5: Begin Therapy
Once treatment begins, sessions focus on building skills, addressing challenges, and making progress toward your goals.
Depending on your needs, therapy may focus on:
Managing symptoms and improving functioning
Developing healthy coping strategies
Strengthening relationships and communication
Building confidence and resilience
Improving emotional regulation
Supporting recovery from eating disorders or other mental health concerns
Navigating medical, academic, athletic, or life stressors
Throughout treatment, progress is regularly reviewed and goals are adjusted as needed.
Step 3: Attend Your Diagnostic Assessment
Your first appointment is typically a diagnostic assessment.
A diagnostic assessment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to help us understand your history, current concerns, strengths, and treatment needs. This appointment allows us to gather important information and ensure that treatment recommendations are individualized and evidence-based.
During the assessment, we may discuss:
Current symptoms and concerns
Mental health history
Medical history
Family and relationship dynamics
School or work functioning
Previous treatment experiences
Personal strengths and supports
Goals for therapy
For children and adolescents, parents or caregivers are often involved in portions of the assessment to provide additional information and support.
Step 6: Ongoing Support and Collaboration
Healing does not happen in isolation. When appropriate, Ezer Psychotherapy collaborates with parents, physicians, dietitians, psychiatrists, neurologists, school personnel, and other healthcare providers to support comprehensive care.
For children, adolescents, and young adults, family involvement is often an important part of treatment and can play a significant role in long-term success.

Every person who walks through our virtual doors has a unique story, set of strengths, and treatment needs. At Ezer Psychotherapy, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that meets you where you are and helps you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
